Our village hall is in a poor state. Whilst it can be used, it is badly in need of some refurbishment to turn it into the modern facility that our village deserves. We have planned a staged works programme to achieve this, which will create new toilets and kitchen area, restore the building's structure and make it a village facility which we can all be proud of. Other villages have these facilities and they form real community centres. We can have them too.

 

 

It will cost about £150,000 to modernise our hall, We aim to raise much of that through donations from grant-giving organisations, but these normally require us to have raised a proportion of the cost from our own fundraising activities. If that contribution is 10 percent, we'll have to raise £15,000 by other means.

We need your commitment to our village hall. The refurbishment project cannot start until we have raised a substantial sum for individual donors.

Online: You can make a contribution via our online fundraising service: Virgin Money Giving – it’s very easy and you can add Gift Aid at no cost to you (if eligible). Just click the Just Giving logo on the right and follow the instructions.

Join our SVH 200 Club

Our Sandleheath Village Hall (SVH) ‘200 Club’ is a scheme of monthly giving that gives you a chance to win some cash! It’s easy to join. You purchase a membership at £5 per month, payable by Bank Standing Order. Each membership buys ‘one chance’. It’s possible to purchase more than ‘one chance’ until the maximum number of members has been reached; 200.


A draw will take place on the 15th of every month with 50% of the total monthly income being returned to members in the form of three prizes; first prize being 50%, second prize 30% and third prize 20%. The remaining 50% of the total monthly income less costs, if any, will be transferred to the Village Hall funds.
